Faro de Madrid
The Faro de Madrid, also known as Faro de Moncloa, is located at the junction of the Avenida de los Reyes Católicos and the Avenida de la Victoria in the Moncloa district of Madrid. Opposite the tower you will find the American Museum.
The transmission tower stands 110 meters high and has an observation deck that allows breathtaking views of Madrid and the surrounding Guadarrama mountains. The Faro de Madrid was constructed by architect Salvador Pérez Arroyo in 1992 and has not been open to the public since 2005.
The tower also serves as an illumination source for the busy traffic junction below, which is why it is called "Lighthouse", Faro de Madrid. While taking a Spanish Language Course in Madrid you surely won't want to miss out on seeing the Faro de Madrid light up its Moncloa neighborhood.
