Evidence of the Spaniards is evident in the architecture of some of the colonial structures that are still standing today and in the language spoken by Cubans. African rhythms are always present in the upbeat, lively music that is constantly heard around the island and the delicious Cuban cuisine combines both Spanish and African techniques.

Lately, people from other places have moved to Cuba, particularly from Eastern Europe and China, contributing to Cuban society and culture and giving it even more unique features.
