WWOOF Australia- Willing Workers On Organic Farms

Participate as a willing worker on an organic farm in Australia, and work in exchange for your keep!

WWOOF is a great form of cultural exchange in which WWOOFers live and work as family with host farms, and learn about the skills of organic growing and the remote Aussie area they are visiting.

You can choose from 1,200 Organic Farms offering to teach you aspects of:

  • Organic growing
  • Bio-dynamics
  • Permaculture

WWOOF Australia members can be of any nationality- including Australians. Anyone over 18 years can join, but it should be noted that a high level of maturity and independence is essential to participate in the program.

The time spent working for food and accommodation depends on how busy the WWOOF host actually is and some other factors. However, about a half day’s work for a full day’s keep should be the average.

Please also note that we include in all our Sydney Starter Packages (except the Light Starter Package) the WWOOF book and membership that will allow you to work as a willing worker on an organic farm for up to one year.

To become a WWOOFer in Australia, you will have to apply for either the working-holiday visa or tourist visa.

With our WWOOF package, also all young backpackers from non-WHV countries have the great possibility to travel and work for full-board and accommodation all around Australia. And also all WHV holders have a great advantage by WWOOFing DownUnder: by working in remote areas at a WWOOF farm for at least 3 months, it is possible to apply for the 2nd WHW and work and travel around the country for one more year!

All in all, a fantastic experience to get to know the “real” Australia and the fascinating Aussie Outback.

We work. We travel. We rock.
