National Art Museum of Catalonia (Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya)
This museum houses one of Europe's largest collections of artwork from the influential period of Roman art in Catalonia during the 10th and 13th centuries. Among the many pieces to admire are gold and silver work, wooden carvings and sculptures. Gothic altar pieces from the 12th century as well as medieval frescos taken from churches in the Pyrenees region are also on display in the MNAC.
