This Museum features Barcelona’s history. Some of the art and artifacts to be found here include the reflection of Roman influence on the city, what Barcelona was like during medieval times and during the Renaissance and Baroque periods.

The Museum’s three floors contain the detailed political history of Barcelona as well as the traditions and customs of the locals throughout time. In the building’s cellar, excavated remains of the early Roman period (2000 B.C.) are to be found, including documents, engravings, remains of a palace dating back to the 7th Century, portions of Roman walls which surrounded the city and much more.
