Schirn Art Gallery
The Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt was first opened to the public on February 28, 1986 at the Römerberg ; nowadays it is one of the most renowned museums in Europe. Since it was opened the Gallery has hosted over 100 exhibitions, some of the largest having featured Expressionism, Dadaism, and Surrealism, the history of photography, the current positions tendencies on sound art and the theme 'shopping - 100 years of art and consumption', as well as retrospectives and samples of artists such as Wassily Kandinsky, Marc Chagall, Alberto Giacometti, Frida Kahlo, Bill Viola and Arnold Schönberg.
