Course Description
We at Sprachcaffe Languages Plus have a lot of experience
in preparing our students for all major exams – we carefully
monitor your development throughout your course, giving you
regular, personalised feedback on your progress and help you
to achieve the goals you have set for yourself.
The Academic Term at Sprachcaffe/Language PLUS is simply an
extended version of a typical Standard
German Course offered at our School, but which prepares
you for the DSH Examination. The general structure is similar
but the goals and objectives are calculated on a long term
basis. Thus it is ideal for students who which to attain a
more in-depth and continuous study of the language.
DSH Deutsche
Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang: DSH
is the German language proficiency test which enables you
to study at a German university. The written exam covers the
following sections: Listening comprehension, reading comprehension
and writing (duration: 4 hours in total). The oral exam takes
about 20 min.
IMPORTANT DETAIL TO
KEEP IN MIND: You may only sit for the DSH exam once
you have already applied for a university. The average cost
of sitting for the DSH Exam at universities is 60-100 €
General Course Outline
The four daily lessons are generally structured in the following way:
1 lesson - involves grammar and vocabulary
activities.
1 lesson - conversation.
2 lessons - focus on reading, text comprehension,
listening and writing.
HOWEVER, the program
can vary, depending on teacher and students.
Class topics are generally
based on current articles from German newspapers and magazines
which are picked out depending on level, so they can be discussed
by the students.
