The Madrid Lifestyle

Spain’s capital city is one of Europe’s liveliest metropolises. The largest city on the Iberian Peninsula, Madrid is a cultural, artistic and political center all at the same time.

Many cultures have left traces of their existence behind in Madrid, such as some of the city’s impressive buildings. Madrid has been the official royal seat for many centuries and over the years the Spanish monarchs decorated the city with magnificent gardens, palaces, opera houses and theatres. The splendor and grandeur of bygone years can be appreciated by everyone as most of these places are open to the public.

Madrid has something to offer everybody. From a diverse nightlife, multi-faceted art and culture to shopping and bull fights. There is no time to stay bored in Madrid. The city doesn’t ever seem to sleep and there are constantly new things to see and do here, such as parties, events, concerts and exhibitions. Yet there are sleepy corners and idyllic parks in which one can relax and wind down in.

Spain Travel Guide Flirting   Flirting in Spain

There is no such thing as exclusive places to go and flirt: the laundromat, the supermarket, bars, nightclubs, computer chat rooms. There are however self help books that teach you the dos and don'ts of pick up lines. There are even schools that offer to teach you the art of flirting.

Madrid Travel Guide Shopping   Shopping in Madrid

Madrid is a city of contrasts. This is evident by the large modern department stores that exist alongside small family run shops on narrow side streets that have managed to survive through the ages.
