America Museum
The museum was founded by King Charles III, who set up the Natural History Department. Some of the earliest exhibition pieces were brought to Spain by those who went on scientific expeditions.
Nowadays, the museum features exhibits on precolomibine and colonial times, as well as relics of the Incas and other indigenous tribes and civilizations of the American continent. Many were retrieved on archaeological digs.
Direction: Avenidas Reyes Católicos 6, Madrid
