National Archaeological Museum
Madrid's Archaeological Museum was founded by Phillip III and is housed in the building referred to as Palacio de Bibliotecas y Museos, along with the National Library.
The museum displays pieces from the prehistoric era through to the 19th century. Especially interesting are the Ancient Greek and Roman pieces, art from the middle ages and replicas of cave paintings and Iberian artwork.
