French Open: The French Open, officially called the Tournoi de Roland-Garros is a tennis event held in Paris from mid-May though to early June. It is the second Grand Slam tournament played in the year.
Autumn Festival: Held annually, in autumn as the very name suggests, this festival features contemporary arts. The pieces, exhibitions on display, performances and acts cover a broad spectrum of art forms, and some of the genres included in this festival include dance, sculpture, literature, film, theatre and music.

Paris Marathon: Another popular sporting event in the City of Lights is the Paris Marathon, held every May. With groups of spectators cheering participants along, this race begins at the Place de la Concorde.
World Circus Festival of Tomorrow: The Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain is a must-see on your itinerary when in Paris. This circus festival is held on a yearly basis and consists of a gathering of leading international circus performers from famous schools around the world performing their breathtaking and awe-inspiring stunts and acts. Horse Racing: Horse racing is a popular sport and pastime in France and two of the biggest and most important race horsing events are held in the country’s capital. The Prix de la République and the Grand Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe are both held on the first and last Sunday in October.
Le Salon du Chocolat: Yet another festival, this one appeals to the stomach in a big way… based entirely on chocolate, this festival, also international, is held in a convention center beneath the Louvre, and attracts chocolatiers and chocaholics alike, from all over the world. It is not merely a sampling fair, however; the festival also focuses on the history of chocolate and chocolate fashion, art and sculpture. Even chocolate makeup is an option here.
