Carnavalet Museum of Parisian History & Art
The "Musée Carnavalet" provides visitors with a thorough background to the history and art of the French capital, through historical collections of paintings, drawings, sculptures, prints and decorative arts. Its building is a former 16th century mansion located in the Marais district of town and was bought by the City of Paris in 1866.
Opening Times: Tuesdays to Sundays from 10 am to 6 pm
Admission: permanent collection is free; temporary exhibits vary between € 5.50 and € 2.50; free for those under 14 years of age.
