Art has always been man’s way of expressing who he is, where he belongs and what his heritage is. With its colorful history, Mexico has an extremely rich tradition of art. Art forms such as painting and sculpture existed long before the Spanish conquistadors arrived and this later mingled with influences brought over form the Iberian Peninsula. Throughout the centuries, styles have blended to form a hybrid unique to what Mexico is today, reflecting the country’s development through time.
