Balearic Islands
The Balearic Islands are divided into the following geographical masses: the Gimnesias towards the North, made up of Mallorca, Menorca and Cabrera; and the Pitiusas toward the South West, made up of Ibiza and Formentera. These make up the five biggest islands in the Balearic region, with Mallorca being the largest. Mallorca's capital Palma de Mallorca has the most crowded airport in all of Spain.
All of the Balearic Islands boast excellent weather, with around 300 sunny days a year, exquisite beaches as well as innumerable cultural offers. These Islands are the most popular tourist destinations in Spain, especially Mallorca. Many vacationers cannot wait to return to the islands and those who are fortunate enough, acquire permanent homes here.
