1. How old do I have to be to participate in a language course?

Our normal language courses are recommended for participants aged 18 years onwards. For young adults aged between 14 and 18 years, we recommend our U20 Individual Junior Language Program which is specially tailored for this age group. top

2. Are there any language courses for absolute beginners?

Yes, certainly! You can book a language course with us as an absolute beginner and after two weeks, you'll already have reached a level with which you can make yourself understood in certain everyday situations. top

3. Is any English spoken at these courses?

Aside from the English Language Courses, the answer is no for two reasons. Firstly, by avoiding English, participants will learn to find their way around the new language as quickly as possible and secondly, the other members taking the same language courses may not necessarily have an English-speaking background. top

4. Are the teachers native speakers?

Our teachers are all experts and speak their mother tongue. This guarantees the level of quality of all our Language Courses. top

5. How early on should I book a language course?

We recommend you begin booking a course approximately 3 months in advance, so as to avoid disappointment. The complete payment will have to be deposited 3 weeks before the beginning of the actual course. Read our booking conditions for full details. top

6. Can I book a one-week language course?

Yes, but only an Intensive Language Course. The rest of the language courses all have a minimal duration of 2 weeks. top

7. How does the U20 Individual Junior Program work?

Our U20 Individual Junior Program is a specialized language travel experience that is aimed at young adults aged between 14 and 18 years.

Participants will benefit by overcoming shyness, learning grammar structures, and expanding their vocabulary without being exposed to traditiona classroom stress.  In the afternoons we offer a supervised tailor-made activity program.  This ensures an absolute immersion into the language and culture of your host country.  U20 Junior Program participants are supervised the duration of their course to ensure their safety.

U20 current desinations are: England (Brighton, Devon, London), Malta (St. Julians, St. Paul's Bay), France (Nice), Germany (Oberwesel) and Spain (Barcelona)


The Program’s price includes:

  • Language Courses for 20 lessons a week.
  • Educational materials.
  • Accommodation and board as booked.
  • Full-time supervision through our trained group leaders.
  • Transfer to/from the airport.
  • Accompanied tours and excursions.

8. How many students are assigned to a language course?

Depending on the type of language course, and on the city the language school is in, the number of maximum students in each course ranges between 8 and 12 participants. top

9. How many hours a week are used for classes?

Holiday Course 10 hours per week
Standard Course 20 hours per week
Intensive Course 30 hours per week

10. What levels are offered?

Our Courses are divided into: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Higher Advanced levels.

Each of these levels is subdivided into three additional intermediate levels, according to the qualification of the student. top

11. Is there a placement test for leveling?

Certainly! Every student is tested on the first day of class with a Placement Leveling Test, in order to assign them to the course that best fits their knowledge level of the language.

12. When do the courses start?

Courses are held all year round. Normally, courses start every Monday and classes are held till Friday. Some destinations have start days other then Mondays, so please check the service and prices page of your desired destination.top

13. What about accommodation?

The accommodation possibilities vary according to the city your Language Course is being held in. Sprachcaffe Languages PLUS offers several options including residential accommodation, apartments and hotels. Arranging your accommodation yourself is another option. Check out the Services and Prices available for each Language School for more specific information on accommodation options available at each city. top

14. Is board included with accommodation?

Depending on the destination the accommodation may include full board, half board or no board. Generally apartments offer no board while accommodation with host families offer half or full board options. Check out the services and prices info page on each Language School for more specific details. top

15. When is the best day for arrival to my accommodation?

Accommodation is made available as from Sunday, or a day before the beginning of your booked course. However, certain cities will have some variations to arrival/departure days. More information can be found on different destinations pages - check out Services & Prices links.

If you have booked transfer from airport to your accommodation, you will be met by our staff member of Sprachcaffe School and accompanied to your lodging place. If you do not have a booked transfer, then you should follow directions given to you in our welcome package. top

16. When can I plan my departure day?

Normally, the departure day would be on a Saturday, or a day after you finish your booked course. However, certain cities will have some variations to arrival / departure for ex. Brighton residence has to be emptied on last Friday of your course. More information can be found on different destinations pages - check out Services & Prices links.

If you have booked transfer from your accommodation to the airport, you will be accompanied all the way by our staff member of Sprachcaffe School. If you do not have a booked transfer, you can get all the necessary information on how to get to the airport during your stay with us, prior to your departure - just ask at our school reception! top

17. Are any leisure activities organized?

Every school organizes evening, nightly activities and weekend excursions for all students. So with Sprachcaffe there is no time to get bored.top

18. Are certificates given upon course completion?

Upon completion of a Language Course, every student receives a certificate of participation. Long term courses can lead on to international examinations. top

20. How can I pay for my course? When can I make a payment?
