  • Information about Frankfurt
Frankfurt is the financial capital of Germany and also one of the most culturally diverse cities in Germany. Frankfurt prides itself in having great diversity with its large amount of foreigners in the city. Frankfurt is also one of only four European cities that has a significant number of skyscrapers. With ten skyscrapers (i.e. buildings taller than 150 m (492 ft)) as of 2004, Frankfurt is second behind Paris with twelve skyscrapers, but ahead of London with eight skyscrapers and Moscow with seven skyscrapers.

    Tourism in Frankfurt
With its long strip of museums and its city combined with new skyscrapers as well as historical districts, Frankfurt is a city merging new times with old. Intersting sites to see in Frankfurt include old Sachsenhausen known also as the 'apple wine district' where you will find over 20 bars and restaurants in a rather small area. There is also Frankfurt's Old Opera House which functions today as a concert hall. You can even climb up to the top of the Main Tower and get a view over the entire region. With this as well as a palm garten, a zoo, and just endless restaurants, Frankfurt will always leave you with something to do.

    Culture in Frankfurt
Frankfurt continues to hold onto some of its most customary traditional food and drinks. Make sure to try Frankfurt's beloved apple wine, eat a hot Frankfurter Sausage or savor the delights of a nice meal of pork cutlets with sauerkraut. There are plenty of festivals that take place, and in the winter, be sure to visit the old town in Frankfurt to experience Frankfurt's Christmas market.

    Weather in Frankfurt
The winter months get rather cold and rainy and it sometimes snows while the summer months are warm and mild. The winds are coming from the south and for the bigger part of the year, the wind force is calm and more frequent during the night-time.

    Sport in Frankfurt
Frankfurt still has plenty of football (soccer) teams, an ice hockey team, and even a basketball team known as the Deutsche Bank Skyliners. You can find more information about the Skyliners here.
