How to arrive to Beijing?

From the airport to Beijing by train
The airport of Beijing is 28 kilometers northwest of the city. At the moment the works on the fourth terminal are being completed, and because of this the underground transport still isn't running properly. It is planned for the metro to start operating between the terminal and the city in early summer as inauguration of the Olympic Games. For the time being, reliable mean of public transport is a bus and you can take them from all terminals. You can take Regular Bus Express to arrive to the city following three different routes: Xidan, Gongzhufen and Zhongguancun. The most popular route of the three is Xidan, arriving at the center of Peking, very close to the "Forbidden City". The route of Gongzhufen drives to the western part of Peking, and that of Zhongguancun to the north-western districts of the city. The bus will stop near most important hotels on its route.
