The airport closest to our language school is Madrid-Barajas International Airport. You can reach Barajas with the following airlines (among others):

You have different options to reach the city center of Madrid:

• By subway: Take the pink line (8) to the very last stop, “Nuevos Ministerios”. From there, change to the dark blue line (10), direction “Puerta del Sur” and get off at “Principe Pio”. From there, take the Principe Pio-Opera line to the station “Opera”, where the school and school apartments are located. Please remember that you have to change metro lines! The price is about EUR 2.00 additional at the airport line + about EUR 1 (one fare) or about EUR 7.40 for 10 fares + about 2.00 EUR airport supplement. If you plan to stay in Madrid for more than one month, ask our staff in Madrid about the monthly transport ticket.
• By bus: The bus leaves every 15 min to the main station, “Avenida de América”. A ticket costs about EUR 2.50 and takes around 20 min. From there, you can take a taxi (about EUR 8) or the underground, line 7 from “Avenida de América” to “Canal”, after that taking line 2 (towards “Ventas”) and get off at “Opera” (about EUR 1.00, around 15 min).
• By train: you should travel to the station “Chamartin”. From there, it is best to take the metro. Change to the dark blue line (10), direction “Puerta del Sur” and get off at “Principe Pio”. From there, take the Principe Pio-Opera line and get off at “Opera”.
• By taxi: Taxis can be found outside the departures terminal at the airport. A taxi ride from the airport to the school will cost about EUR 30 - 35.
