Documents Required for Visa Applications

. 2 application forms + 2 recent passport photographs
. Valid passport
. Confirmation of placement at a German university
. Proof that a German resident will sponsor you
. Proof of participation in a German language course
. Proof of possession of a school leaving certificate
. A list of grades obtained during last school year
. Payment of the visa

Visas are applied for at the German Embassy or Consulate in each home country, as far in advance as possible. German authorities representing Germany overseas will provide information on the specific requirements.
