Andalusia
Andalusia is the most densely populated Spanish autonomous region and has the second largest surface area. Due to the warm, pleasant climate, the varied landscapes and the friendly locals, Andalusia is one of the most popular destinations among tourists. The 3000 hours of sun per year as well as stretches of beautiful beaches add to its charm and attraction.
The Huelva and Cadiz coastlines are outlined by golden sandy beaches on the Atlantic Ocean, which makes them quite windy with fairly cool water temperatures. On the other hand, the Mediterranean seaboard stretching from Gibraltar to Ameria offers a more pleasant climate with less winds and warmer seas. The region's mountain ranges and wildlife are also sights to behold and the typical "white villages" must not be missed.
Andalusia even has something to offer sporting fans. The coast of Cadiz offers great surfing conditions and skiers will love to fly down the well-known slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
Many Spanish traditions emerged from Andalusia, some of the most famous being Flamenco music and dancing and the bull fights.
