Tourism in Malaga

n Southern Spain on the Mediterranean coast (the Costa del Sol). Malaga is a cosmopolitan city in Southern Andalusia.  It is famous for its rich and unique history, Pablo Picasso, Malaga Sweet Wine, Malaga ice cream, Spanish basketball champion in 2005, cup winner in 2004.

The city was founded 2,800 years ago, it is one of the oldest cities in Western Europe. Several Stone Age caves can be found in the surroundings.

Places of Interest

The cathedral, the fortresses Gibralfaro and Alcazaba, the Roman Theatre, the Picasso Museum, bull fighting ring, etc.

Shopping

More than 1000 shops, Calle Larios (Boulevard), El Palo/Pedregalejo (market place with fruit, vegetables, fish, meat, etc.) 
Opening hours: Monday - Friday from 10:00-13:30 and 17:00-20:30, closed Saturday afternoons (Big shopping centres: Mo-Sa 10:00-22:00, without a siesta). There are some small (but more expensive) shops which are also open on Saturday afternoon and Sunday.

Nightlife

The options are endless! There are literally hundreds of bars, clubs and discos in the city centre, as well as traditional tapas bars, bodegas, ‘tablaos de Flamenco', theatres, concerts, and much much more!
