The Sprachcaffe language school in Heidelberg creates an environment where students feel encouraged to speak German, from day one!
The qualified, experienced and native German teachers use topical material and creative teaching methods such as role play, games and discussions so you become confident in expressing yourself in German in no time.

Heidelberg's landmark sits high above the city: Heidelberg Castle. The former residence of the Elector of the Palatinate, it is a must for all visitors to the city. Particularly recommendable is the view of the Neckar from the Karl Theodor Bridge, called "Old Bridge" by the inhabitants of Heidelberg, and the visit of the various Heidelberg museums such as the Kurpfälzisches Museum.
Like shopping? On the 1.6 km long shopping mile, called "Hauptstraße", you will find everything a shopping heart desires, thanks to the diverse selection of shops.
For visitors who prefer to experience new places in all their diversity, Heidelberg's Old Town with its many restaurants is such an experience. For gourmets: Scharff's Schlossweinstube in Heidelberg Castle offers award-winning cuisine in a historic setting. If you are drawn to Heidelberg's nightlife in the evening, Heidelberg will delight you with its variety: whether club, bar or Irish pub, there is something for everyone.

Spring festivals
Alternativer Frühling: This festival celebrates the experimental and bohemian culture found in this city. During the months of April and May you will find concerts, exhibitions, parties and much more throughout the city. This is an opportunity for many artists to show their craft to large audiences.
Summer festivals
Heidelberger Literarurtage:Heidelberg has been named the UNESCO city of literature. From 24-28 June 2020 book lovers will have the opportunity to attend readings from domestic and international writers. Interviews and a multitude of panels will inspire you to put a couple more books to your reading list.
Autumn festival
French Week: French and German culture have a long relationship with each other. Hence, the 11-20 of October celebrates this Franco-German friendship with around 80 events throughout Heidelberg and Mannheim.
Winter festival
International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg: This festival is a great opportunity for movie buffs to discover their new favorite films. Young and aspiring filmmakers showcase their film projects. This festival can be enjoyed in the middle of November.
