ON YOURMARK. )'6 5'6. 2#6*9#;5 3 # Q: What if I am unsure about my field of study? A: It is normal to be unsure about what you would like to study. To begin with, our counselors can send you a general list of academic programs that are popular in North America and Europe. We will help you make the right choice. Q: What is the first step to take? A: We will start with your interests and hobbies. Once we figure out the area(s) of study you are interested in, we will send you a list of institutions offering matching programs. We can narrow down the selection based on other factors such as: the size of the college/university, rural or urban area. Bear in mind that there might be various programs matching your initial idea! Q: Where do you want to study? A: When you are certain about your program, it’s time to decide on the location, which will become your home for a long time. Our partner institutions are spread from East to West throughout North America as well as across Europe. Think about the climate and the environment you prefer: big cities/smaller communities, sunny beaches/ snowy mountains, antique/modern? What province or state you are interested in? Find maps on pages 14, 18 and 22 to get an idea. Q: What about tuition fees? A: Tuition fees depend on the institution and academic program of choice. In case your desired institution is located in the USA or Canada, you should consider the advantages of a college or regional university over a large institution. Colleges are usually cheaper, have smaller class sizes and more personalized approach. Institutions across Europe have similar tuition fees while most of the German institutions are free. Q: What about my language level? Do I have to take a language test? A: You don’t necessarily need TOEFL or IELTS if you want to study in the USA or Canada. Many of our partners accept SC GEOS level 5 or 6 certificate of completion. In Europe it is necessary to take language exams. Nevertheless, there are a lot of advantages of taking the IELTS, TOEFL, Test DAF or DELE test. Having a standardized test score gives you the ultimate flexibility in choosing your college or university. It’s always a good idea to practice taking tests before you start university!
