A structured pathway to further education. Guaranteed quality proven through our accreditations – all learning time is productive learning time. Learn relevant syllabus structured to the students‘ requirements. Integration into local culture through relevant extracurricular activities and an active support network. DAMIAN/ARGENTINA >> I chose to study in Canada and at SC GEOS Ottawa due to my relative’s advice. My aunt, a teacher in France’s international school system, recommended SC GEOS as one of the best. When I started my classes at SC GEOS, I quickly discovered that I had made the right decision for myself and my future. Canada offers an excellent environment to improve your English. It is safe, beautiful, people are very friendly, and it is multicultural. My goal was to take the IELTS exam and then apply for a college program – and I succeeded. Canadian universities offer high quality and affordable education, and great support services for international students which will differentiate myself from my peers in the future. After studying English, I got accepted to Algonquin College. Studying at a Canadian University is a great experience full of learning, discovering about Canadian culture, and meeting with international students. I just want to encourage new students to choose SC GEOS because of the excellent staff and because it is the shortest way to get into colleges and universities. << INFORMATION 7

When the moment came to choose where to study and which course, I decided to take my time and firstly go to improve my English at SC GEOS Toronto. At GEOS, I learned correct English pronunciation, spelling and grammar. These skills certainly help me succeed in college. In addition to my language course, I was given valuable advice and consultation about my educational options. That’s how I chose my program in the Hospitality and Tourism sector: it’s big for both my home country and Canada, as well as internationally, of course. I have really enjoyed meeting all the different students at SC GEOS and I am thankful that I received so much support and down to earth advice from SC GEOS whenever I needed it. << 9

SC GEOS Frankfurt is filled with lovely people from all over the world, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The pathway program helped me a lot to enhance my language and academic skills in German. As I started my German classes, questions started to pop into my mind: Which program is the best? How should I start? The Pathways coordinator not only solved all my doubts but helped me choose the program, guided me through the application process and gave me confidence and motivation to stay in Germany. << 23

ON YOURMARK. )'6 5'6. 2#6*9#;5 3 # Q: What if I am unsure about my field of study? A: It is normal to be unsure about what you would like to study. To begin with, our counselors can send you a general list of academic programs that are popular in North America and Europe. We will help you make the right choice. Q: What is the first step to take? A: We will start with your interests and hobbies. Once we figure out the area(s) of study you are interested in, we will send you a list of institutions offering matching programs. We can narrow down the selection based on other factors such as: the size of the college/university, rural or urban area. Bear in mind that there might be various programs matching your initial idea! Q: Where do you want to study? A: When you are certain about your program, it’s time to decide on the location, which will become your home for a long time. Our partner institutions are spread from East to West throughout North America as well as across Europe. Think about the climate and the environment you prefer: big cities/smaller communities, sunny beaches/ snowy mountains, antique/modern? What province or state you are interested in? Find maps on pages 14, 18 and 22 to get an idea. Q: What about tuition fees? A: Tuition fees depend on the institution and academic program of choice. In case your desired institution is located in the USA or Canada, you should consider the advantages of a college or regional university over a large institution. Colleges are usually cheaper, have smaller class sizes and more personalized approach. Institutions across Europe have similar tuition fees while most of the German institutions are free. Q: What about my language level? Do I have to take a language test? A: You don’t necessarily need TOEFL or IELTS if you want to study in the USA or Canada. Many of our partners accept SC GEOS level 5 or 6 certificate of completion. In Europe it is necessary to take language exams. Nevertheless, there are a lot of advantages of taking the IELTS, TOEFL, Test DAF or DELE test. Having a standardized test score gives you the ultimate flexibility in choosing your college or university. It’s always a good idea to practice taking tests before you start university! Q: Thanks a lot for your help! 24

LUKA/GERMANY >> I took the SC GEOS Pathway Program in NYC. I learned a lot of things and have been supported by a lot of people throughout my time there. Needless to say, one of my biggest supporters was my SC GEOS Pathways coordinator with an extensive education plan and support throughout the application process. For the first 5months I went to SC GEOS NYC to prepare for studying at university. During that time, I met people with different backgrounds. When I entered University, I still kept studying with private lessons at SC GEOS. Thanks tomy tutors I discovered the pleasure of studying. They were very kind and taught me patiently and in detail. Thank you so much SC GEOS. I’d like to make good use of this experience for my university life. << GO. *19 +6 914-5 25
