Spanish
Culture
When
surveying Spain’s history, we can name an
amazingly long list of civilizations and peoples
that have walked the Iberian Peninsula. All have
left traces of their long past existence in aspects
that make up Spanish culture as we know it today.
Evidence of the Moors is especially marked in
the architecture that can still be seen in parts
of Spain. However, in this melting pot of races,
peoples and cultures, the legacy of the Romans
has made its most prominent mark, managing to
have survived the ages. Mystical elements of that
civilization appear in Spanish artwork and literature
and the Roman Catholic religion remains deeply
instilled in Spanish culture, even to this day.
In order to get a grasp on Spanish, just as with
any other language, it is important to immerse
oneself in the culture of the people that speak
it. And there is no better way of doing that than
staying in Spain itself; above all, if Sprachcaffe
