Answers to your questions

Florence is a welcoming, relaxing and safe destination for people of all ages and juniors as well.

Florence is generally considered safe for juniors, but like any popular tourist destination, it is wise to stay alert, especially in crowded areas and at night. There have been reports of petty crimes such as pickpocketing around major landmarks and on busy public transport routes, particularly during the summer season. In addition, parts of the nightlife zone near Santa Croce can be lively and crowded, with some concerns about safety late in the evening.

There is plenty to do for groups or schools in Florence. You can start your week with an orientation tour and welcome event, then head out to explore the city's highlights. Visit the Uffizi Gallery, admire the Duomo and its famous dome, wander across the Ponte Vecchio or enjoy a walk through the Boboli Gardens. Evenings can be spent tasting authentic Italian pizza, discovering local gelato hotspots or watching the city come alive along the river. In short, there is always something to experience and endless ways to discover Italian history, art and culture.

Anyone can request a group or school trip with SPRACHCAFFE, including school classes, families and groups of friends. Educational groups such as school or university students are welcome. Companies can organize business or incentive trips. Associations and sports teams can also apply. If you want to learn, travel or explore together, you can plan a group or school trip with us.

Florence is easy to reach via Pisa International Airport.

Pisa Airport is located about 1 hour from Florence and is well connected to the region, with regular train and bus services to Florence city centre. Once in the city, getting around is simple with trams, buses or taxis, and Florence is the ideal starting point to explore the Tuscan region. There are also convenient connections from the city to key sights such as the historic centre, the Duomo and other famous attractions.

The main contact person during the trip is the designated SPRACHCAFFE group coordinator. They manage communication between the school, staff, and families at all times. SPRACHCAFFE also has an emergency phone number that is always available, day and night, so parents and teachers can reach someone immediately if needed.

If you are from the EU, students and staff need a valid passport or national ID card. Minors travelling without both parents should carry a signed parental consent form.

If you are from outside the EU, a valid passport is required and, depending on nationality, a Schengen visa may also be needed. Border control may ask for proof of accommodation, return travel, and a parental consent form for minors.
