Health & Safety First

Quality You Can Trust

Visa requirements depend on your nationality and course duration. EU and EFTA citizens can enter the UK for short stays (up to 6 months) without a visa. If you're planning a long-term course (over 6 months), or you're from outside the EU, you will likely need a Standard Visitor visa or a Student visa (Tier 4). Sprachcaffe supports your application by providing an official Letter of Acceptance and helping with required documentation.

Typical documents include proof of course payment, accommodation, return travel, health insurance, and financial means.

In the UK, whether you can work during your studies depends on your visa. Short-term visitors (studying less than 6 months) are not allowed to work.

If you apply for a long-term student visa and your course is full-time and registered with the UKVI, you may be allowed to work part-time (typically up to 20 hours per week during term time). Sprachcaffe can help you identify which visa option fits your goals and whether part-time work is a viable path.

Getting to England is easy, no matter where you're travelling from. The country is one of the most accessible language travel destinations in Europe, with excellent international connections and a modern transportation system that makes local travel simple.

From the European Union:
If you're coming from the EU, you can reach England quickly via short-haul flights from major cities, such as Paris, Berlin, Madrid, or Rome. Budget airlines like Ryanair, EasyJet, and Wizz Air offer frequent, affordable connections to London airports. Alternatively, the Eurostar high-speed train links Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam directly to London St Pancras International in just a few hours, making travel seamless and eco-friendly.

From Latin America:
Travellers from Latin America will find direct or one-stop flights to London from major cities like São Paulo, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Bogotá, and Lima. Airlines such as LATAM, Iberia, and British Airways provide reliable connections, often via European hubs like Madrid or Lisbon. London Heathrow (LHR) is the main international gateway, well-equipped for long-haul arrivals.

From Asia:
From Asia, you'll find daily flights to England from key cities like Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok, Delhi, and Dubai. Leading airlines, including Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Singapore Airlines, offer high-comfort options with stopovers or direct flights to Heathrow or Gatwick. Travel times vary by route but are typically 12 to 15 hours from East or South Asia.

Travelling within England:
Once in the UK, Sprachcaffe schools in London and Brighton are easily accessible. From Heathrow or Gatwick, you can take express trains, coaches, or pre-arranged airport transfers. Brighton is just an hour from London by train - ideal for combining city life with seaside charm.

Public transport in England is efficient and well-connected. The London Underground, local buses, and rail lines allow you to move around quickly and affordably. Our Sprachcaffe team is happy to advise you on travel passes, airport pickups, and local tips to help you get the most out of your journey.
