Traditionally, Spanish music has had strong influences from both the Christian and Moorish cultures throughout its development. A great mix of musical styles have emerged from the Iberian Peninsula.

One of the most well known and instantly recognizeable is the popular and tradicional Flamenco music. Both a musical and dance style, flamenco's unique sound comes from the heavy Arabian influences in Spain’s southern regions, particularly in Andalusia.
