As in any major city it is important to stay aware of your surroundings, but with normal precautions you can explore the city with confidence. Rome is well organised, very popular with school groups and young travellers, and most students feel comfortable there very quickly.

There is plenty to do for young people in Rome. Students can start their trip with an orientation walk and then explore the city at their own pace. In the afternoons they can visit world-famous sights such as the Colosseum the Roman Forum the Vatican Museums or the Trevi Fountain. There is also the option to enjoy Italian gelato tasting as a fun cultural highlight. In short Rome offers countless opportunities to discover history art delicious food and daily Italian city life.

Rome is easy to reach via Rome Ciampino Airport.

Ciampino Airport is located about 30 minutes from the city centre and is known for offering many low-cost flight connections. From the airport you can easily reach Rome by bus or shuttle services that connect directly to major train stations such as Termini. Once in the city, getting around is simple with buses, metro or taxis, and Rome is the perfect starting point to explore the entire region. There are regular transport links to famous sights such as the Colosseum, the Vatican and many other iconic attractions.
