Malaga Town Hall (Ayuntamiento)
Malaga’s Town Hall stands on the Avenida de Cervantes and is a great Neo-Baroque style building was reconstructed in the early 20th century between 1912 and 1919, when the mayors of Malaga were D. Ricardo Albert and Mr Manuel Romero Raggio, respectively. Reflecting a very typical Malagan architectural style, this building is one of the city’s most prized landmarks.
This is an interesting building as much from an artistic point of view as from an architectural perspective. The interior is graced by the Hall of Mirrors and the Hall of Plenary Sessions, both decorated with beautiful paintings and sculptures by mainly Malagan artists.
If you're interested in architectural styles then be sure to take some time out during your stay in Malaga for the Spanish Language Course to stroll by the Ayuntamiento and maybe take some photos of this beautiful building.
