Getting to Cape Town
By Air:
Cape Town International Airport (CPT) is the main gateway to the city, with direct flights from major hubs in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America. Most students arrive via connecting flights through Johannesburg, Doha, Istanbul, Dubai, or Frankfurt.

Getting Around Cape Town
MyCiTi Bus:
This is Cape Town's modern and safe public transport system. It's affordable, reliable, and ideal for travelling between the airport, city centre, Table Mountain, and beach areas. A pre-paid card is required and can be purchased at stations.
Uber & Bolt:
Ride-hailing apps like Uber and Bolt are popular, safe, and reasonably priced for door-to-door service across the city.
Minibus Taxis:
These are used by locals but are not recommended for tourists due to inconsistent routes and safety concerns.
Walking & Biking:
In central areas like the V&A Waterfront and Sea Point Promenade, walking and cycling are enjoyable. However, always check with Sprachcaffe staff before heading out on foot in unfamiliar areas.
