Ayumi

Nice to meet you! My name is Ayumi from the Sprachcaffe Japan Office.

I will be accompanying you all to Malta this time.

When I was in my second year of high school, I went to London for 10 days for my first study abroad experience. That trip became the starting point of the life I have today. Living in a different country, surrounded by a new culture, values, and language, is not something you can experience easily - and it can truly change your life.

I'm sure these 10 days will pass very quickly, but I'm so excited to be part of this big adventure with you. If you have any problems or worries, I will fully support you, so please feel free to rely on me.

Let's create wonderful memories together that will become treasures for the rest of your lives!

Cassu

Hello everyone, My name is Cassu, and I will be accompanying you on this trip.

I have friends in 23 countries around the world, and for me, being overseas is always exciting and inspiring. The desire to explore different countries is stronger than any worries about safety, food, or cultural differences.

Some of you may be traveling abroad for the first time, while others may have been overseas with your families before.

"Everything is the best arrangement." This is one of my favorite phrases. During this trip, you may experience both challenging and joyful moments. But I believe that every experience - good or difficult - has meaning, and each one will help you grow.

So let's enjoy this week and more together to the fullest. I truly look forward to spending this special journey with you.

FAQ

Absolutely! Many participants start their first study abroad experience with little confidence in English.

A placement test before lessons ensures each student joins a class that matches their level. Classes are designed for juniors, and classmates are the same age, creating a safe and supportive learning environment.

Sprachcafe has over 40 years of experience in junior language education. Our experienced teachers know common challenges for Japanese students and provide careful, supportive guidance.

The key is not "be fluent before going," but "grow through the experience." This is one of the biggest benefits of junior study abroad.

This is a very common concern.

In the accompanied program, Japanese staff travel with students from departure to return, including flight transfers. On-site, junior staff called *Teamers* provide 24-hour support for activities, daily life, and bedtime checks, in coordination with the school and host families. The Japan office stays in constant contact with the local staff and shares updates whenever possible.

Safety rules are in place, e.g., no drinking or smoking, and students are generally not allowed to go out alone (some exceptions may apply according to school rules).

These measures may seem strict, but they ensure all middle and high school students can take on new challenges safely. We are here to support your child every step of the way.

If a student feels unwell or gets injured, local staff will assess the situation and, if needed, visit a medical facility. Some schools have a school doctor.

A Japanese staff member accompanies students for medical visits and can assist with communication with doctors. Parents are notified promptly, and any decisions are made in consultation with them.

Even in emergencies, your child can consult in Japanese, ensuring peace of mind.

All accommodations are approved and managed by the school.

Homestay:Students stay with host families who have a long-standing partnership with the school, with full support for daily life.
Student Dormitory & Hotel: Students stay under staff supervision, with safety measures such as curfews and check-ins.

No matter the type, we prioritize creating an environment where students can live safely and comfortably.

Of course!

I just want the dates.
I just want to know the fees.
Which countries are popular?
I only want the brochure.

You can ask questions even if you are only considering. Please feel free to reach out.

In Malta, many students relax by the poolside, while in London, we often see friends enjoying card games together.

For junior high and high school students, there are some safety rules in place, such as not being allowed to go out alone.

However, students may explore the area around the school if they are in a group of three or more and agree not to use public transportation, with permission from the school.

They can enjoy walking through the beautiful European streets or stop by a nearby supermarket to buy some snacks when they feel a little hungry.

How much pocket money do students need?

We recommend bringing around JPY 20,000 to 30,000 as pocket money.

If possible, please bring a credit card or debit card.
*Before departure, make sure your card is activated for overseas use and international cash withdrawals.

There is an ATM located about a 5-minute walk from the school where students can withdraw cash.

For students staying in a residence, they use paid washing machines and do their own laundry. Each campus has its own laundry rules, so please make sure to check them carefully. Many short-term students wash underwear and socks by hand in the bathroom.

For students staying with a host family, the family usually does the laundry. However, there are often specific rules, such as laundry being done once a week, so please confirm the details with your host family after arrival.
