In our school in Rabat you will be able to take either Arabic or French language courses. Course combinations of French and Arabic are also possible. The amount of time you stay for your course does not change the options of available accommodation, courses and free time activities.

Exotic Arabic language courses await in the Orient

In Gap Year or sabbatical travels your weekly prices decreases depending on the duration of your stay. Flight and accommodation conditions are not affected by this. The minimum amount of stay available for a stay in Rabat is 8 weeks. You can choose between either Standard and Intensive courses at our school in Morocco. You can also decide whether you want to take an Arabic course, a French course or whether you want to combine the two languages in your studies. Our courses are international, which means that you will be studying Arabic or French together with students from all around the world. Taking a placement test will help us determine which language skill level the course should have that you will be part in. This Gap Year course is available for people of the age of 18 and above. Booking are possible for people who are 16 or 17 years old as long as they provide a permission letter provided by their parents of certified guardians.

Requirements for entering Morocco

Depending on which kind of citizenship you own you may not immediately need a stay permit. Should you decide to go on a Gap Year or sabbatical trip for a longer period of time you will need to obtain a stay permit that will remain valid for the entire length of your planned stay. In order to claim your stay permit on time you will need to apply for it at the local foreigner's police station within 21 days after having reached your destination. In order to complete your application you will need proof of finances and a certified reason for why a longer stay in the country will be required, among other documents. You can receive a certificate of language course student status form our school in Rabat. You can get more information about your stay permit application at the Moroccan embassy.

The local currency is called Dirham. There is a limit on how much money you are allowed to take into and out of the country and according to the website of the federal foreign agency this amount is roughly 1 thousand Durham. Due to the fact that the laws on the amount of money change frequently, we recommend that you consult the website of Moroccan customs for updates and further information.

It is also recommendable that you look your best and are dressed formally when beginning your trip as it is not uncommon for unkempt people to be denied entry into the country. Please note that some rules and regulations in Morocco may differ greatly from the those in your country, which is why it would be very beneficial to familiarize yourself with the laws and rules of the country before you plan your journey. Travel insurance for Morocco

The federal foreign office recommends that people obtain a travel health insurance that includes the service of transporting you back to a different country for hospitalization before they begin their travels with the aim to stay in Morocco for longer periods of time.
