Argentinians descend from Italians and Spaniards, which explains their warmth, serenity, and hospitality. The country is known all over the world for its passionate local dance, the tango, soccer, and the pato, a basketball-like equestrian game and Argentina's national sport. Argentina is also rich in natural wonders. The highest mountain in the Americas, Aconcagua, attracts skiing, snowboarding, and hiking lovers from around the globe who can climb the two highest volcanoes in the world. Patagonia is also one of the country's wonders, a province in southern Argentina and Chile totally unique for its Antarctic rainforests and its UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Perito Moreno Glacier. The central and northern parts of the country feature cloud forests, beaches, deserts, flat land ("La Pampa") and the Iguazú Falls on the border with Brazil.

You will stay with a previously screened and approved host family. The student's needs and interests will be met as much as possible with those of the host family.
Students are required to wear a school uniform.
In Argentina there are full-day schools and half-day schools. Half-day schools go from about 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. or from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Yes, students are supervised on site and can call the supervisor by phone for questions or in case of emergencies.
Family visits are possible only at the end of the program.
Students usually bring their ski equipment with them, but it can also be rented on site.
Students are not allowed to work during their high school stay.
Argentina has a good transportation network. From Buenos Aires one can explore the rest of the country by bus or plane.
Due to insurance reasons, students are not allowed to sign up for driving courses. It is also not allowed to drive motorized vehicles.
Yes, within our program in Argentina there are Semi-Public and Private High Schools.
It is recommended to get vaccinated against tetanus, diphtheria, polio, hepatitis A and B and yellow fever. In addition, a vaccination against rabies and a malaria prophylaxis would be advantageous.
Argentina is a very safe country. We do recommend to keep personal valuables either on yourself or in safe places.
