Rabat: History, Gardens and the Atlantic

Rabat is Morocco's capital and a city that is easy to fall in love with. Its historic centre has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2012, and landmarks such as the Hassan Tower, the ancient Chellah site and the Kasbah of the Udayas tell stories from many centuries. At the same time, Rabat is one of the greenest cities in the country, with parks, palm-lined boulevards and the peaceful Andalusian Gardens. The Atlantic coast and the Bouregreg River bring fresh sea air and wide views. After class, you can wander through the medina, enjoy a mint tea in a quiet garden or watch the sunset over the ocean, the perfect balance for your yoga retreat in Morocco.

What Stays with You After the Retreat

The best souvenirs from this week aren’t the ones in your suitcase. Through regular breathwork, you’ll discover how quickly a few conscious breaths can bring you back to calm, whether you’re on a busy train or sitting at your desk. Yin yoga and gentle flow sequences help you loosen tight spots in your back, shoulders and hips, and you’ll put together a short routine you can easily continue at home. Little by little, you’ll also become more aware of your body’s signals, so stress has less chance to build up unnoticed.

Alongside the practice, relaxed theory sessions explore what helps you recover, why good sleep and regular movement matter and how small changes turn into lasting habits. The sessions are held in easy, everyday English, so there’s no need to worry about your language level. And with 25 lessons a week, you still have plenty of free time to discover Rabat at your own pace.

Yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation Combined

This retreat brings together everything that helps you find balance. Yin yoga and gentle flow sequences release tension in your body, while breathwork, mindfulness and short meditations help you quieten your mind. Moments of reflection and journaling give you space to think about what you really need in everyday life. Each session is adapted to the group, so whether you’re new to yoga or practise regularly, you’ll always find a pace that feels right for you.

Who It's For

FAQ

The retreat is suitable for beginners as well as experienced yogis. Every exercise is guided and adapted to different levels. When you sign up, we ask about any health restrictions so the yoga and mindfulness sessions can be tailored to the group.

No. All sessions are taught in clear, simple English, and a solid basic level is enough. You won't need French or Arabic for the retreat.

The retreat runs in small groups of 5 to 15 participants. This leaves room for individual support and a relaxed, personal atmosphere.

There's plenty to discover at a relaxed pace. You can take a walk along the Bouregreg River promenade, browse the colourful stalls of the medina or visit the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. If you'd like some sea air, the Atlantic beaches are close by, and the modern tram makes it easy to get around the city and across the river to neighbouring Salé. Or simply find a café, order a mint tea and enjoy some quiet time.

Pack comfortable clothes you can move in easily for the sessions. For exploring the medina and the old town, comfortable shoes and clothing that covers your shoulders and knees are a good choice. A water bottle and a notebook for journaling are also useful. You'll receive all further details about the course and equipment with your booking confirmation.
