Your Pilates Trainer in Malta

Felicija Baćak leads Pilates & Back Fitness in Malta. Her approach is to share science-based knowledge in a way that sticks in everyday life. She guides each group from the first session to the last.

"Most people arrive saying 'I just have a bad back'. After three days, they realise it isn't their back at all. It's a core that never gets challenged. That's exactly where we start, with exercises you can do on Monday morning at your desk without anyone noticing."

Why Malta Is the Perfect Pilates Retreat in Europe

Malta sits south of Sicily, right in the heart of the Mediterranean. Summers are warm and winters are mild, so the island invites you out for long walks along the coast all year round. English is one of the island’s two official languages, which makes arriving and getting around effortless. Our campus in St Julian’s is just a short walk from the sea, cafés and the island’s lively promenade, which makes Malta an ideal setting for a wellness retreat close to home.

Who It's For

This retreat is for anyone who spends long hours at a desk or on their feet, carries tension in their neck and shoulders, or simply wants to give their back some long-overdue attention. You don’t need any Pilates experience: the sessions combine theory with guided practice, so beginners can easily keep up. If you already have some experience, you’ll deepen your understanding of posture, core strength and mobility, and take home knowledge you can put to use straight away in everyday life. Whether you come on your own or with a friend, shared sessions and meals bring people together quickly, and it’s often the people who make your Pilates holiday truly special.

FAQ

Yes, you don't need any previous experience. The sessions combine theory with guided practice and build up step by step. That way, you don't just learn the exercises, you also understand why they're good for your back. In a small group of no more than 15 participants, you can ask questions whenever you like, and taking a break is always fine.

Absolutely. Many guests travel solo, and with shared sessions and an international group, you'll quickly feel part of it. Whether it's a chat after class, a walk along the promenade or dinner together, you'll soon have company if you want it.

A solid basic level is enough. The practical sessions are all about watching and joining in, and the theory uses everyday examples rather than medical jargon.

Accommodation is optional. You can book a room at the Club Village on our campus in St Julian's, with various apartment types and meal plans, or arrange your own stay. You'll find current prices in the booking section above.

Yes, that's the whole idea. All exercises use your own body weight and need no more space than a mat. You'll also learn how to fit the exercises into your daily routine, whether first thing in the morning, during the day or in the evening to unwind.

Comfortable clothes you can move in, a water bottle and sun protection for outdoor sessions. Mats and basic equipment are provided on site.
