Malta: Mediterranean Living for Your Health Retreat

On Malta, healthy living is part of everyday life. Local markets are full of sun-ripened tomatoes, fresh fish, olives and seasonal fruit, and Maltese cuisine shows how simple, fresh ingredients can taste wonderful without much effort. Mild temperatures let you train outdoors even in winter, and afterwards the sea is never far away. With English widely spoken, you settle in quickly and can focus fully on yourself. Here, a health retreat feels less like a programme and more like a lifestyle you'll want to take home.

From Your Plate to Your Posture: Your Week in Malta

Ever wondered why your energy crashes at 3 pm or why a quick lunch at your desk leaves you tired rather than refreshed? This week, you find out. In practical, easy-to-follow sessions, you explore how what and when you eat shapes your focus, mood and stamina. A hands-on meal prep workshop then turns that knowledge into real solutions for your everyday life, whether you love cooking, rarely cook or mostly rely on the canteen.

Movement is the other half of the picture. Outdoor mobility sessions loosen up stiff shoulders and a tired back, while strength and functional training build up step by step at your own pace. Nobody is chasing records here; what counts is how you feel afterwards. The course language is simple, everyday English, so you won’t need perfect language skills to keep up. And with 25 lessons spread across the week, your afternoons and evenings still belong to Malta: a swim in the sea, a walk along the coast or dinner with new friends.

Your Nutrition and Exercise Trainer in Malta

Felicija Baćak leads Nutrition & Exercise retreat in Malta. She is a certified medical fitness trainer (A licence), a Pilates and Yin Yoga instructor, and has worked in holistic health promotion since 2021. Her approach is to share science-based knowledge in a way that sticks in everyday life. She guides each group from the first session to the last.

"I don't hand out training plans that end up in a drawer after two weeks. I show you what you can actually use at your desk on Monday morning. And when it comes to meal prep, I show you realistic ways to eat healthily, with simple preparation, the right ready meals and the right food in your fridge. That way, you find solutions that fit your life, whether you're short on time, don't enjoy cooking or love cooking and want a more balanced diet."

FAQ

No. The training sessions are moderate, health-focused and suitable for all fitness levels. The goal is to activate your body gently, improve mobility and release tension in your back, neck and shoulders. When you sign up, we ask about any health restrictions so the sessions can be adapted to you.

No. The retreat doesn't follow a strict diet or promise quick results. Instead, you learn how nutrition and movement affect your energy and wellbeing, and you develop simple habits that fit into your everyday life over the long term.

You don't need to be fluent. If you can follow a simple conversation, you'll be fine. Every exercise is shown before you try it, the trainer uses clear, everyday language, and you're always welcome to ask if something isn't clear.

Concrete routines rather than theory: short mobility exercises for your desk, lunch and meal prep ideas that work with a canteen or in your home office, exercises for neck and shoulder tension, and strategies for breaks and afternoon energy dips.

Accommodation is optional. You can book a room at the Club Village on our campus in St Julian's, with various apartment types and meal plans including a fitness breakfast, or arrange your own stay. You'll find current prices in the booking section above.

All three retreats take place in Malta but have different focuses. Nutrition & Movement combines nutrition know-how with moderate movement, Yoga & Mindfulness works with breath, meditation and stress relief, and Pilates & Healthy Back focuses on core strength and back health.
