Eastbourne, located in the county of Sussex, is a great destination for young people to learn English, with exceptional natural beauty and miles of beach with breathtaking views out to sea.
Located 27 kilometers from Brighton, this seaside haven is known primarily for its sprawling beach on the English Channel, which receives awards on an annual basis.
Widely considered the sunniest place in the United Kingdom, it’s no wonder that Eastbourne welcomes such a high number of travelers each year looking to soak up the sun, beach, and unparalleled history of the surrounding area. As a growing destination for tourism, our U20 Program is perfect for youngsters looking to develop their English skills while meeting a wide-range of other students.
Eastbourne's English courses provide teenagers with the opportunity to learn from native teachers in one of England’s most popular destinations. Our students understand that what we offer is more than just a regular language course. The exposure to a new language and culture gives students a new perspective - our courses give students a taste for adventure, which in turn leads to new opportunities. After our standard and intensive English course, students find the possibility of travelling and working abroad much more realistic and attainable.
The mix of in-class instruction and cultural activities and outings creates a well-balanced learning experience for all of our students. It’s not any old language course, it’s an investment in your future!

Our U20 program has grown in popularity in recent years due largely to the town’s recent explosion in tourism and recognition as a welcoming place for visitors.
At our school, students will find qualified teachers, up-to-date study material and a wide range of resources. With welcoming and friendly staff, it doesn’t take our students long to adjust and relish the adventure they have embarked on.
- Standard and Intensive courses available
- Small groups of students aged 13 to 17
- English Proficiency Certificate upon completion
At our Eastbourne school, we offer both standard and intensive English courses. On Standard Courses, students receive 15 hours of teaching per week (4 lessons per day), whereas on Intensive Courses, students receive 22.5 hours of teaching per week (5 lessons per day).
Each day, classes are held throughout the mornings and early afternoons, and are followed by an activity planned by our group leaders. All of our activities allow students to practise their newly acquired skills beyond the classroom walls.
We promote a well-balanced in-class experience that accentuates a mix of communicative learning (reading, writing, listening and speaking) with a hands-on approach, giving the student the unique opportunity to apply new language skills immediately. It is through this approach that we help to provide them with the confidence they need to use English in real-life and practical situations.
While we encourage this hybrid teaching methodology, it is also our goal to develop students’ grammar, reading, and writing comprehension.

Our homestay Program is the perfect opportunity for students to use their English skills in everyday life as they live with a friendly family and participate in regular cultural activities. Most of our host families live outside the town center, which helps ensure every student optimal living conditions in nice, big and well furnished homes. The maximum travel distance from home to school is 60 minutes by public transport.
As part of the Eastbourne Homestay Program, each student shares a room with another similarly aged student and is provided with three meals every day, including a packed lunch to bring to school (Only in exceptional circumstances is there the possibility of a host family hosting 3 or 4 students in 1 room, provided the room is big enough). All host families have been pre-screened to ensure the safety of all of our students. They are loving and friendly families, eager to welcome our international students into their homes and lives.
A homestay is a great opportunity not only to get to know family life in England, but also to meet other international students within a more personal setting outside of the classroom.
Alternatively, you can maximise your independence by staying in our residence, where you can have your own room. But you'll never be far from other students as there are always multiple bedrooms in our apartments, allowing you the constant opportunity to make friends and practise the English you've learned in class.
